EuroNetwork Ltd is a well established manufacturer of and cable harnesses, with over 20 years of industry experience. We are an independent company, who offer a high level of service to our customers. We have and continue to build an extensive knowledge in the design, development, assembly and production of assemblies, harnesses and in a wide range of cable and connector products.

HDMI stands for high definition multimedia interface . It consists of a medium-sized 19 pin male connection that's becoming the industry standard on a range of audio-visual products. For TV, DVD and game high definition game playing. It takes over the function of the World wide ever faithful SCART socket by carrying sound and pictures simultaneously. HDMI (unlike the old scart leads) uses digital signals . It has also been widely used to replace separate digital audio connections, such as optical and coaxial leads. Is HDMI Important When Watching Blu-Ray: In the war between high definition storage and video formats, Blu-ray has been victorious. It provides over five times the amount of storage space than traditional DVDs and offers the recording and playback of high definition video. Blu-ray works by using a blue laser rather than the traditional red beam DVD and CD technology uses at the moment. This blue laser offers more precision due to its shorter wavelength and therefore can pack more information on to a disk than the red laser.

USB or Universal Serial Bus is the primary method or interface for computers and devices to communicate. USB cables provide the best means to allow this interfacing to take place since they provide an easy plug and play or hot swap method of communication.

USB cables are limited in length to a maximum of 5 metres, but it is possible to extend this distance further with the use of USB hubs. Up to five USB hubs can be connected in a long chain of cables and hubs. Consequently, the maximum possible signalling distance is 30 metres, using six 5 metre cables and five hubs. In actual use, the last hub is a more convenient endpoint since some USB devices include built-in cables intended to directly connect to a hub, setting the maximum useful signalling distance at 25 metres.

Because USB is able to provide power for additional devices connected to the bus, a special type of USB extender cable was created which consists of a miniature one-port USB hub molded into one end of a 5-metre cable. These mini-hubs are fully self-contained within the cable, requiring no separate bulky hub device, and are as simple to use as plugging cables together, with each hub drawing power through all the previous single-port hubs in the chain.

The bus power is limited however, so the most practical application is to use four single-port hub extender cables, one plain 5 metre cable, and then a powered multiport hub at the very end to support multiple additional USB devices. This is especially useful where a cool and quiet work area is needed, permitting a keyboard, mouse, flash drive, printer, etc to be used 25 metres from a loud heat-generating computer.
