If your mains voltage is not right for the device or product you are using, there could be problems afoot. Using a product or appliance that is connected to a mains voltage that is too low could negatively impact its operability and prevent you from using it.
Connecting a device to the mains when the voltage to high is equally problematic, as there is a risk of damaging the device and causing overheating.
You may not know that the mains voltage differs from country to country. For example:
So, for example, if you take an electrical device on holiday to a country with a low mains voltage, you may not get the power from the mains electricity you require (don’t forget that you may require converter plugs too!)
Equally, if you connect your appliances to a mains supply with too high of a voltage, there’s a risk of your appliance overheating and becoming damaged as it’s not able to cope with this excess input. That’s something you naturally want to avoid.
The way to do so is with voltage transformers. These help to moderate or enhance voltage to allow appliances and devices to work as they should.
At Euronetwork, we stock step up and step down transformers that convert voltages into the appropriate input for your devices and appliances, helping you to avoid difficulties and have things working as they should.
There are step up transformers that transform voltages from 120V to 240V. We stock models with an internal safety cut out device to protect against overload and featuring designs that help prevent heat dissipation and the ingress of moisture.
Our selection of step up transformers also come with toroidal construction which allows for lower height, negligible external magnetic field and enhanced efficiency. The transformer is also small in size and doesn’t weigh very much, making them easy to implement and take advantage of.
We also stock step down transformers with internal safety cut out devices to prevent overloading. This helps keep appliances operating effectively and safely.
